Liverpool extend Premier League lead to 19 POINTS with West Ham victory
Liverpool have extended their lead at the top of the Premier League to 19 points with a 2-0 win over West Ham United on Wednesday.
Mohamed Salah scored from the penalty spot late in the first-half after Divock Origi was fouled by Issa Diop.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain then doubled the visitors' advantage seven minutes after half-time thanks to a delightful pass from Salah.
The Reds are now 36 points ahead of Manchester United and Tottenham, and 40 points ahead of Arsenal.
Speaking after the game, manager Jurgen Klopp said: "I'm only happy about the three points," he says. "We could have done a lot of things better, We could have passed better and defended better.
"These boys have played outstanding football throughout the season. Tonight was a normal performance."
