Valencia v Real Madrid: All out to claim Spanish Super Cup final berth

REAL MADRID AND VALENCIA PLAYED OUT A 1-1 DRAW IN THEIR ONLY PREVIOUS MEETING THIS TERM.

The  first side to book their spot in the Spanish Super Cup final will tonight be decided at Jeddah's King Abdullah Sports City Stadium, where two in-form sides go head-to-head. Whilst Real Madrid are unbeaten in their last 14 games (W9, D5), Valencia are undefeated in their last seven (8pm CET kick-off, 10pm local time). Barcelona and Atlético meet tomorrow in the other semi-final clash.

This encounter is a meeting of two sides who are enjoying lengthy unbeaten runs (the madridistas are undefeated since 19 October, whilst the Copa del Rey holders' streak began on 23 November) and boast impressive defensive records. Real Madrid top the LaLiga clean sheet standings (10 shutouts, including clean sheets in the last three outings) and, alongside Atlético, boast the division's tightest defence (12 goals conceded). Valencia, meanwhile, have been breached just twice in their last four games.
