Agents for Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez are due in England today for talks with Manchester United.
The Mirror says Saul hopes to have his summer move to England sorted this week — with United and Liverpool in pole position for his signature.
Representatives of the 26-year-old have been given the blessing of Atletico Madrid bigwigs to negotiate a move for their man.
And they are due to jet into England in a bid to strike a deal to bring him to the Premier League.
United are in the box seat but Liverpool are also keen and proposals will be sought from both clubs in a bid to tie up a deal quickly.
Sources close to the player say has no desire for his future to still be up in the air by the middle of August when England and Spain's top flights both kick-off.
Midfielder Saul's buyout clause at Atletico Madrid is around £125million but the current La Liga champions know they will get nowhere near that figure in the current market.
