Radamel Falcao asked to leave Galatasaray as Turkish giants can no longer afford his salary

Galatasaray have asked star striker Radamel Falcao to leave the club as they can presently don't bear the cost of his wages.

The Colombian striker showed up at Galatasaray in 2019, with 25,000 fans hanging tight for him at Istanbul's Ataturk air terminal. In any case, subsequent to scoring 19 class objectives in his two seasons in Turkey, the previous Atletico Madrid, Monaco, Chelsea, and Manchester Joined striker has been advised to search for another club.

Galatasaray president Burak Elmas has said the club's financial problems after being hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic's impact on ticket sales, meant they can no longer afford to keep Falcao or former West Ham midfielder Sofiane Feghouli.

'I talked to Falcao and Feghouli,' he told reporters.

'They provided very good services to us but with this wage structure we can't pay their wages. We want them to find a club.'

Elmas added: 'I hope they will respond and they will find a club for themselves in a short time.

'We part ways with good relations.

'This is a management decision and we won't consider them for the coming season.'
