Bayern Munich are considering a late move for Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong.
Marca says the Bavarian club want to sign the Dutch midfielder in this transfer window, and their representatives have already been in contact with De Jong's agents to show their interest, meaning the coming week will be huge for his future.
The tension between the two clubs has been there for a while now, and started when Bayern tried to interfere with Pedri's contract renewal at the Camp Nou and also tried to move in on Sergino Dest.
Barcelona responded by looking at a potential transfer of defender Niklas Sule, as well as inquiring about several players from the Germans' youth sides.
If Bayern don't manage to sign De Jong in this window, they'll try again in the summer. The ex-Ajax man is seen as a player who would fit in perfectly at the Allianz Arena, and is viewed as a long-term option in their midfield.
