Ronaldo would become the Premier League's oldest ever player if he keeps playing in the division for another four seasons, and playing another five could potentially see him feature in three more international tournaments.

The one blot on an otherwise spotless career is that he hasn't won the World Cup - a feat which cemented the likes of Pele and Diego Maradona as the greatest players to have ever played the game - and would you put it past him to simply keep playing until he wins it?

We certainly wouldn't.
