He also discussed Dembele's situation and a potential La Roja return
Gerard Pique didn't mince his words when he was asked what he would do if he was Barcelona president.
The 34-year-old defender stressed that he would try to modernise the Blaugrana by kicking out all the toxic directors who form the president's inner circle.
"I would make a more modern club," Pique told the streamer Ibai Llanos on Twitch.
"I would change a lot of things. I would tell the whole inner circle to f**k off. They are toxic, f**k off. And whoever feels singled out as inner circle, f**k off."
Ousmane Dembele
Pique went on to discuss Ousmane Dembele's future at the club, which remains uncertain. The Frenchman is currently set to become a free agent next summer and could depart the club before the end of the January transfer window.
"I understand both parties," noted Pique.
"We are in a business that moves a lot of money. Everyone is free to defend their own interests. Let the best solution be found. We have asked him once and he doesn't get involved, he is waiting to see [what will happen]."
Spanish national team
Despite having retired from the Spanish national team since 2018, Pique hasn't ruled out a return to La Roja in the future.
"Obviously, I've left the national team," Pique added.
"But I'm a person who if one day I say... damn. Well, I'd call the coach and tell him 'maybe...'
"I don't want to close the door. It's 99 percent no, but I don't like to say 100 percent."
