Son Heung-min has joined forces with Captain America and Spider-Man with a surprising Marvel cameo.
Okay, Son's cameo in Marvel's blockbusting MCU series is fleeting, and quite tenuous, but it was spotted by an eagle-eyed fan.
Son's surprising cameo came in 2021's Black Widow.
The two main protagonists of the film, played by Scarlett Johansson and Florence Pugh, enter a shop, and a football game can be seen being played on the TV in the background of the shop.
And one TikTok user, with a lot of investing, deemed the match being shown to be Son's South Korea facing off Paraguay.
The user explained that a lot of over fans had incorrectly assumed the match being shown was between Spain and Belgium.
But after noticing the incorrect socks on the Spanish side, he trawled through all of Spain's fixtures with matching socks to find a match to the stadium.
And after no success, he was tipped off by a friend it could be South Korea.
After looking at South Korean fixtures, the user was able to find the game in question: South Korea vs Paraguay.
Despite his recent cameo in one of Marvel's latest releases, don't expect Son Heung-min to become his secret identity any time soon.
The same can't be said for English footballing hardman Vinnie Jones, who played the role of the Juggernaut in the X-Men series in the early 2000s.
