La Gazzetta dello Sport updated AC Milan's progress in the signing of Charles De Ketelaere, Club Brugge's asking price is 30 million euros.
De Ketelaere has returned to Club Brugge for pre-season training. Milan's first offer of 20 million euros plus a floating bonus was a typical first step. Club Brugge were obviously not satisfied with the offer. Now they are asking for 30 million euros, if other teams compete, the asking price will increase to 35 million euros.
It is reported that De Ketelaere has spoken to Milan head coach Stefano Pioli on the phone, who introduced their plans for the new season.
For now, Club Brugge are in no hurry to sell De Ketelaere, they are inclined to let the player play for another season, but the midfielder will not be indifferent to the charm of the Rossoneri. Milan, on the other hand, will use a large part of their symbolic budget of 50 million euros to acquire a player, which of course is entirely feasible.
The Italian media pointed out that if an agreement is reached, it is likely to be realized in the next 10-15 days, because Milan needs to speed up in order to allow Pioli to build the team as soon as possible in pre-season preparations. In addition, De Ketelaere is only 21 years old, and his salary will not be very high. If he joins, it may only be around 2 million euros, which will not trigger the desire of other players to increase their salary. Milan's introduction of the duo of De Ketelaere + Ziyech is the most likely.
