PSG are prepared to sell up to ten players to make room for former Barcelona star Lionel Messi.
Messi's arrival will see the club's wage bill soar to more than 300 million euros a season, and the club's president is willing to offload several players from the first team squad to balance the books, says the Athletic.
These may include the likes of Thilo Kehrer, Abdou Diallo, Rafinha, Idrissa Gueye, Mauro Icardi, Ander Herrera, Sergio Rico, Layvin Kurzawa and Pablo Sarabia.
Despite the fact that Messi is due to earn an incredible 40 million euros after tax - 5 million more than his new team mate Neymar - the club are confident that his commercial appeal and marketing clout will justify their huge investment in the player. According to reports, Messi will sign a two-year deal with an option of a third year.
Besides Messi, PSG have also signed Sergio Ramos, Gini Wijnaldum and Gianluigi Donnarumma on free transfers, and have also spent 76 million euros on the signings of Achraf Hakimi and Danilo Pereira. Their attention now turns to getting other players off their books.
