Brighton & Hove Albion have reportedly offered defender Marc Cucurella Saseta a revised contract ahead of Manchester City's offer, which they plan to ask for £45m if they bring in the player.
Manchester City striker Sterling is close to moving to Chelsea for £55 million. When Sterling leaves the team, Manchester City will make an offer for Cucurella. They hope to add another centre-back before Ake joins the Blues.
Cucurella joined Brighton & Hove Albion last season for £15.4m and impressed the outside world with his outstanding performances. He has been a staple of Brighton's defence almost all the time, scoring one goal in 38 appearances in all competitions last season. He also won Brighton's Player of the Season award.
Cucurella's contract with Brighton expires in 2026, and the online player is worth 28 million euros in the German transfer market.
